Describe the desk, see what a day goes for, publish when ready
The questions take a desk's facts and nothing about you. The listing they produce is yours to use anywhere, whether or not you publish it here.
What you are asked
- Your city
- It decides which published prices you are shown.
- The premises
- An office, a studio, a shop or café room, a hotel. Private homes are not listed.
- Desks, days and hours
- As a booker will read them.
- Your price for a day
- You set it. The published prices are there to compare.
- Wi-Fi, getting in, cancelling
- Shown to a booker as you state them.
- Whether you may host
- A listing is published only where the business owns the premises, or its lease or its landlord allows a visitor.
What is published, and what is not
Published: the business name, the area, the facts you stated with their date, your price, and a general address at your domain for bookers, such as studio@ or hello@.
Not published: a street address, anyone's name, anyone's personal address. You give the street address to a booker when you say yes.
To take a listing down, write "remove" to hello@dsksrf.com from the same domain. It is gone within one working day.
What it costs
Desksurf charges nothing for a listing. A booker pays you directly, the way you tell them. If that changes, you are told in writing a month before, and nothing is charged without your written yes.
Before a visitor sits down
These are questions for your landlord and your insurer. Desksurf gives no legal advice.
- Your lease
- Does it let you allow someone else to use part of the premises, and must the landlord be told? Leases differ, so the answer is in yours.
- Your insurance
- Does it cover a visitor who is neither staff nor a client?
- Your building
- Keys, alarm, opening hours. Can a visitor come and go without one of you?
