What Desksurf does
A business with a spare desk answers a few questions about it. It sees what a desk for a day is advertised at in its city, each figure with its source, and its listing written out. The listing is the business's to use anywhere, whether or not it is published here.
A listing is published only when the business asks, in a message from its own domain. It is on the site within one working day. It shows the name of the business, its area, the facts it stated with their date, its price and an address for bookers. It shows no street address and nobody's name.
A request for a day goes to the host by email, with a copy to Desksurf. The host says yes or no each time.
If you list a desk
Desks are in business premises and are offered by the business itself. Private homes are not listed.
A listing is published only where the business owns the premises, or its lease or its landlord allows a visitor. Whether yours does is a question for your landlord and your insurer. Desksurf gives no legal advice.
Every fact on a listing is your own statement, shown with the date you made it.
To take a listing down, write "remove" to hello@dsksrf.com from the same domain. It is gone within one working day.
If you book a desk
You pay the host directly, the way the host tells you. Desksurf takes no payment and adds no fee.
The host gives you the street address with a yes.
Nobody from Desksurf visits a desk.
A desk here is not promised to cost less than a coworking pass, and nobody is promised company.
What Desksurf does not promise
The prices shown to a host are published ones, read on the date beside each. They are what other places advertise, not what anyone will pay.
It may be that nobody asks for a desk.
What it costs
Desksurf charges nothing for a listing.
Once bookings can be paid by card on a host's page, a location has a monthly fee. The figure, and what must happen before it starts, are on the page "List a desk". Nothing is charged without the host's written yes.
What we keep
What Desksurf keeps about people, why, for how long and how to have it deleted is in the privacy notice at dsksrf.com/privacy. These terms add nothing to it.
Through an assistant
An assistant you use can send the answers to the form "What a desk for a day goes for in your city, and your listing" for you, through our connector. It can also ask for notes by email for you.
An address it gives is added only when the link we send to that address is opened.
Nothing is published through an assistant.
What we keep of a request made that way is in the privacy notice.
The company that makes the assistant handles your conversation under its own terms. They are not ours.
